She attended St. Patrick's elementary school in Delmar, and graduated from Delmar High School and from the Mercy Hospital (Clinton) School of Nursing. After graduation, she worked as a nurse in the office of Dr. Young in Clinton, Iowa. Jane married Frederick Berg on July 9, 1955, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Delmar, Iowa. Their first home was in Clinton, Iowa, where their three sons were born. From 1961 to 1970, they lived in Sterling, Illinois, where Fred was the clinic pharmacist at the Sterling-Rock Falls Clinic. In 1970 they moved to Fulton where they operated Berg Pharmacy until 1986. Jane was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Fulton and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the Fulton Country Club. She enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with her family. She was very proud of her work as a nurse. Jane and Fred were such friendly neighbors and such special gifts to our whole community. How greatly they are missed! Our mom Flora Huizenga always spoke of how kind and friendly Jane would be when she stopped to talk. Our condolences to the boys and the entire Berg family. Flora Huizenga and Kathy/John Byker
