Very sad to hear of the passing of Jane Longrigg of Tunworth, Hampshire. I had known her for many years as a companion of Lord Tenby. Bill Tenby was President of CPRE Hampshire Branch, and she always brought him to meetings and events. They always seemed to be together, and she was a most kind and courteous person. Only recently at Preston Candover, on 28 October, she was there at the Autumn Supper to hear Lord Selborne deliver a speech on the English apple. We will miss her sharp mind and strong intellect.
