Mahalo to the entire Lynch family for sharing Jane with the world. She was a remarkable person, who brought great insight, organization and grace to any situation. Jane's contributions to Cancer Genetics go beyond the numbers of publications. She and Henry are the icons that the rest of us are so thankful for. We will see her smile in the rainbows and feel her warmth in the sun. Aloha

Henry, Pat, Kathy and Ann,
My deepest condolences to your Family on the loss of your dear Wife and Mother.
She was one of the most wonderful woman I have ever had the pleasure to know.
In addition to her own two daughers, she was always warm, kind, and caring towards me. I will always appreciate how patient she was, especially during our troublesome teenage years!
In time may you find peace and comfort in your memories of her.

To Our Beloved Lynch Family,
We realize words are never enough during this difficult time.
However, our hearts are with you in sharing the loss of a wonderful woman, who, with the rest of you, passionately devoted herself and sacrificed immensely so the tens of thousands of our families may live.
Her spirit and dedication will live within us, for we are so very grateful for all she and you have done and are still doing for us and our families.
She is forever within our hearts.

Dr. Lynch:
I was very surprised to see this information. My deepest condolences to you. You and she have put the study of hereditary cancers "on the map." I well recall hearing you present papers at ASCO and reading your journal articles back in the 1970s and 1980s, and my reaction was (like many MDs in oncology) "OK, that's interesting, but what can we do about it all." At that time it was often "nothing." Now for the past 13+ years, we ARE doing something and helping many families with the various gene mutations that lead to cancer development. And for that same dozen-years interval, I have been devoting half my time to the topic. I most appreciate all the helpful advice you have provided me via my many e-mail inquiries. You both deserve all possible recognition for your contributions to knowledge about these cancer syndromes. It is a great loss for her to no longer be at your side everywhere you travel.
