I shall miss "Miss Janie" every day. She was the big sister I never had. She taught me much about a lot of things. She helped me thru the rough times and celebrated the good times with me. We never seemed to run out of things to talk about. She was proof that dynamite comes in small packages. I am honored to have known her.

I am so glad I got to know Janie at the SBR one year. She shared the story of how she had to go buy a step stool to be able to get in bed because their beds in that hotel were very high. Ever since then I made it a point to see her every year and try to go out to eat with her at least once to hear some more of her stories. She was one special friend to me and I will truly miss her as I know the beading community will also. I want to offer my condolences to her family and my prayers go out to each and every one of them. I know Janie is looking down on all of us and is happy.

Dear Janie's Family,

I've known Janie for about 10 years through the Bead Retreats.She was such a love. Even though we only saw each other twice a year for the weekends, you must know that she was the most personable and loveable person there. I loved sitting at her table and chatting about everything, from Pete's Pond to the lastest novels, laughing and joking. She always applied her mathmatical theories to her beading and explained it simply so I would "get it" She had a brain like Einstein and heart of pure gold. I will miss her terribly. My deepest sympathies and hugs to all of you for the loss of this wonderful woman.

So sorry for your loss. We will always remember her and share in your sorrw.

Safely Home
by Unknown

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth--
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!
