Janet Beidler Obituary

72 years of age and resident of Orefield, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening August 24, 2025 in her home surrounded by all that she loved. She was the wife of Joseph P. Beidler for 54 years.

Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Oscar S. and Marie H. (Sams) Maurer, Jr. A 1971 graduate of Louis E. Dieruff High School, Janet worked in production for Pet Foods and Pillsbury until retiring. Her greatest joy was the love she shared with her grandchildren.

Surviving beside her husband Joe; son Jason with wife Tara (Walbert) of Alburtis; grandchildren Kylie, Kaden and Emma; sister Barbara D. Keagle; predeceased by son Joseph Beidler in 2024 and brother Jeffrey W. Maurer.

Her viewing and visitation with family will be on Wednesday evening August 27, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Gilbert Funeral Home 444 Pershing Boulevard, Whitehall, Pennsylvania 18052, located one block south of Fullerton Avenue exit of Route 22. Interment will be private.

For those who wish to honor Janet with a memorial contribution her family suggests a donation to Saint Lukes Hospice Attn: Development Office 801 Ostrum Street, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 18015.
