Janet Beidler Obituary
Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Oscar S. and Marie H. (Sams) Maurer, Jr. A 1971 graduate of Louis E. Dieruff High School, Janet worked in production for Pet Foods and Pillsbury until retiring. Her greatest joy was the love she shared with her grandchildren.
Surviving beside her husband Joe; son Jason with wife Tara (Walbert) of Alburtis; grandchildren Kylie, Kaden and Emma; sister Barbara D. Keagle; predeceased by son Joseph Beidler in 2024 and brother Jeffrey W. Maurer.
Her viewing and visitation with family will be on Wednesday evening August 27, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Gilbert Funeral Home 444 Pershing Boulevard, Whitehall, Pennsylvania 18052, located one block south of Fullerton Avenue exit of Route 22. Interment will be private.
For those who wish to honor Janet with a memorial contribution her family suggests a donation to Saint Lukes Hospice Attn: Development Office 801 Ostrum Street, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 18015.

Cuz,Jason &Tara,Kylie,Kaden and Emma: I loved all my adventures and zany misadventures with Janet. She was the whole package -lots of love and laughter. The voice of reason with her clever wit. She was always thinking of others and doing compassionate kind acts. A giant heart with a beautiful soul. Family was her rock and her grandkids the sunshine that never faded. I will remember that smile and never forget all the laughter we shared over the years. My words are small for someone like Janet who made life seem easy when it hurt and was hard at times. Always in my heart she will be.

I am so sorry for your loss. Janet and I had such good times together even after I left working at Pet. I am sorry we did not stay in touch thru the years. She was an amazing friend. May she rest in peace! She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. My thoughts are with you and the family.

Sending deepest condolences to Joe and Family. Janet was always kind to my family. When my kids had health problems she would send me a message to check on them or send a card after asking for my address again because she forgot to write it down. Conner called her Aunt Janet one day and I said she´s not your Aunt. She corrected me and said if he wants to call me Aunt Janet he can! After that day she was Aunt Janet to the Booth household. I will miss playing Words With Friends at 3am! She says she could never fall asleep and ask why I was awake! May she Rest In Peace and give Uncle Jeff a big hug from us!

Can´t believe you´re gone. You really went through a lot but still managed to stay positive & have a beautiful smile on your face. You had the best stories . We had great laughs together. You will be missed. Thank you Joe for giving the opportunity to share a few more visits with her. We shared many years together.

My deepest condolences to Joe and the family. I grew up across the street from Janet and her family and have fond memories of them all. Janet hung out with my sister Dianne and the one thing that stood out the most was her infectious laugh... it was so unique it just made you laugh along. My faith tells me God guide her home onto her new journey and after her meet up with her mom, dad, Joey and I hope my sister she will be watching over her family as she did here.

I always loved hearing the stories of your high school days from your best friend, Barb. They painted such a picture of the spunky little spitfire you were, full of life, laughter, and energy. You truly left an impression on everyone blessed to know you.
While my heart is heavy knowing you´re gone, I am grateful you are no longer suffering. What I will miss the most is your humor - your ability to bring smiles and laughter even in the toughest moments. That gift was uniquely yours and will never be forgotten.
Don´t worry, I´ll do my best to keep Barb out of trouble for you. The love and friendship you shared with her - and with so many others - will continue to live on. Until we all meet again, rest peacefully, Janet.
