Rod and Janet were two of my closest friends while attending graduate school in Rapid City in the mid 80s. We have since kept in contact, and it saddens me greatly to hear of Janet's death. I'll never forget Janet's warm smile and sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers have been with Rod and Janet
the past several years, and will continue to be in the future.

I only knew Janet for the last year, but she had a kind, gentle spirit and was a pleasure to work with. She has left a mark on Cargill Dow LLC that will surely not be forgotten.

I had the pleasure of working with Janet for about the last three years. Janet, Jill Rehberger and I shared office space and we routinely had excellent laugh breaks as one of us would crack a joke and the other two would keep the jokes rolling.
Janet's fermentation engineering skills were top notch. I admired her mild mannered way of getting her points across, love of learning, and ability to make decisions in the middle of what looked like chaos.
I will miss her as a co-worker, team member, and friend.

I came to know Janet, Rod and Max in their home when I was Janet's nurse last year. It was fun to get to know all of them and see their gardens grow. Janet was very special. My heart goes out to you Rod. God Bless and Take Care.

Janet was a wonderful person to work with. Despite her illness, she never complained and always had an easy smile and upbeat attitude. I especially liked that she would challenge my assumptions, asking to see the data which showed them to be true. She would be nervous at the confrontation, but she did it anyway. I admire her for that. My thoughts are with you and the rest of her family.
