Janet was much loved and will be sadly missed by those who knew her.

I was so sorry to have missed the memorial for Janet last night. Sending all of you love and support. I knew Janet and Grant at high school and then had the great fortune to reconnect with Janet n the early 80's. Janet was a beautiful soul, humble and always thinking of others.

My sincere condolences to the Lakeman family. I look forward to the Memorial tomorrow, to console one another and to share our memories of Janet. Remember and keep her close in our hearts.

Janet was an inspiration and good friend. Her intelligence, creativity, and whit enlivened my life and she will always be remembered. I have many wonderful memories with her in her art studio, cooking food together and in discussion on topics we both enjoyed while viewing her newest creative expression. I have never meant anyone who encapsulated a full range of creativity like she did. Janet was a true pioneer of life full of determination and faith. It doesn't get any better than that.

Janet and her family were our next-door neighbors when I was a small child. She came camping with us one disastrous trip, and your family dried us out, warmed us up and fed us. It was so many years ago, but the memories have stayed with me. May she rest in peace, warmly remembered.
