James,
My deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family on the loss of your loving spouse. Although I never met your loving spouse, I wanted to reach out to you, since I lost my loving spouse, Cathy of 58 years of marriage. The grieving process takes a long time to permit healing. My heart goes out to you and your family at this most difficult time for you. May God continue to bless you and your family with His Strength and His Light. All the best, John
P.S. I will never forget our golfing together at Ligonier Country Club. After I had a beautiful tee shot into to the fairway with a slight uphill lie, you told me, John, choke up on your club a bit and take a healthy cut. So I did, and completely whiffed the ball. We laughed so hard, I had tears in my eyes, and you damn near swallowed your chew..!! It sounds like your loving spouse loved the game as you did. May She rest In Peace, and May Her Memory be Eternal.

So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Janet was a good friend to my mom. When she popped in for a visit, my dad would offer her a beer. Her response was always "Sure, Bob, I'll have a beer!" My favorite hobby of hers was her Christmas ribbon candy! I still use her Texas Sheet Cake recipe today. And I can never forget our mutual birthday! Your mom was a bright spirit in this world.
