McFARLANEJanet, Evelyn (Nee Murdoch) September 15th, 1946 - May 15th, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Janet after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Loved and sadly missed by daughter Melissa, son Andrew (Kirsten) and grandson Trevor (3 weeks old), mother Moira, sister Cathy (Rich), nephew Chris, neice Tessa, brother Bob (Cindy), nephews Andrew and Scott, sister- in-law Heather (Joan), and many special friends. Janet loved life, her garden, painting and travelling. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at the BC Cancer Agency, and the caring staff on the VGH Palliative Care Unit whose compassion helped us all through a very difficult time. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Stephen's United Church, 54th and Granville St. on Saturday, May 24th at 2pm. Moira, Andrew and Melissa,
It is with great sadness that Bill and I send our most sincere condolences about Janet's passing. We have so many wonderful memories of times spent with her - vacationing in Acapulco, ladies' brunch at the house, Jean's 90th birthday and lunches with Mom, Moira and Janet in Kerrisdale. We are so glad that we had lunch together recently and will certainly miss her company at future lunches with Mom and Moira. Her creativity will live on in the artwork she leaves behind. With Love,

Janet's family
Just a note of sadness that I feel at Janet's passing. We worked together at Leith and Dyke, and we went to Hawaii way back in 1969 together, and we also shared a very small, but nice apartment. Many times I was going to phone Jan but never did, now it is too late.

I have many fond memories of Janet and think of her often. You might not remember me but I cleaned the house while Ken was living in Victoria. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful person and will be missed.
