Janet Kathleen Partridge

Janet Kathleen (Lamoureux) Partridge passed away peacefully on March 13, 2023. Born June 6, 1951 in Berlin she was the daughter of Lucien and Doris (Potvin) Lamoureux.

In her working career, Janet "dabbled" in a variety of different occupations ranging from rating insurance policies, assisting in a billing department, being an innkeeper to her namesake bed and breakfast, The Partridge House Inn, took on some side jobs painting and even construction until she finally found something she loved - customer service.

She began her customer service career at Carroll Reed and then in 1989 she began working for Garnet Hill in Franconia, NH. She held a few different titles over her many years with the company and received countless compliments for her willingness to go above and beyond for the customer. But, what she was most proud of was all of the events she was involved in and helped organize - award winning parade floats, retirement parties, epic pranks, the Community Charity Fund, and work days at Copper Cannon Camp, to name a few. Janet was a well respected and cherished colleague as well as a loyal friend to all and considered those she worked with at Garnet Hill her family. Janet retired from Garnet Hill after 28 wonderful years of service in 2017.

Although Janet loved her job, she also had many hobbies and talents that occupied her time. She was a talented artist in a variety of different mediums and loved to create pieces of art to share in her home and with others. She was also an avid yard saler and was always excited to share her "treasures" with others. Janet was a skillful and willing player of any and all games. She spent many hours (including lunch breaks) playing games and many of you were probably on the other side of the cribbage, scrabble or game board, or hand of cards. Never a sore loser, but likely a boastful winner! Janet was so faithful and felt blessed everyday to live in Franconia surrounded by mountains, trees, and later in the years of living in her home - farm animals. She loved to venture out to visit (and take many photographs of) the sheep, cows, and chickens.

When not puttering around her big beautiful yard, she was often off on a road trip finding adventure - her favorite co-pilot being her grandson, Cody. When Cody was born in 1994, Janet immediately became "Mimi" and I think everyone would agree that he was literally her sunshine and happiness. She unconditionally and unselfishly loved her son, daughter and grandson and supported them all her life through the many highs and even difficulties of their lives.

Surviving members of Janet's family include her son Jeremy Partridge and Daughter-in-Law Megan, daughter Josie Nevers and Son-In-Law Ayden, grandson Cody Partridge and Fiance Marina Sellars, as well as grandchildren Jacob and Ariana. Janet cherished her siblings, their significant others and their children - all of them bringing her so much joy and laughter. She is survived by her siblings Paul Lamoureux, David Lamoureux, Michael Lamoureux, and Elaine Botelho. Very close to her heart, although preceding her in death, her sister Mary Bent-White and brother Raymond Lamoureux. To say that her family and friends will miss her is a great understatement.

To fulfill Janet's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held this summer to honor her. A date will be shared with friends and family. Janet's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts far exceeds the time that she was here with us.
