Janette Dreyfus Obituary

Janette (Vavonese) Dreyfus, 70, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, with her daughter and friends by her side.

Born on November 20, 1954, in Syracuse, New York, Janette was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jen (Santaro) Vavonese. She attended Henniger High School and graduated with the class of 1972. Following her education, she worked as a pharmacy technician at Kress Drugs before relocating to Indiana in 1992 with her husband and daughter.

Janette was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan; her brother, Anthony Vavonese; and her sisters, Nancy De Frank and Carmella Cooper. She is survived by her daughter, Jenny Jean Gagnon of Indiana; and two brothers, James Vavonese of Lakeport and Mark Vavonese of Syracuse.

There will be no formal services. However, a Christian mass will be held on Thursday, February 11th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Our Lady of Pompeii/St. Peter's chapel located in the church offices. The service will be officiated by Father Charles Vavonese. Family and friends are invited to attend.
