BLISS, JANICE FLOOD Janice Flood Bliss, born March 2, 1932, in Rockford, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2012, with her family at her side. After graduating from East High School in Rockford, Illinois, Janice enrolled at the University of Iowa where she met her best friend forever, Stuart Bliss of Sioux City, Iowa. Janice was a dedicated and loving wife to Stuart for 56 years until his unfortunate passing in 2010. They enjoyed hand-held walks on the beach, swims at the pool and overnight-stays on Shelter Island. Their close group of friends had many memorable outings to Theatre Night and Holiday Bowls and trips to Baja. She loved family time, dancing, and carrying on her Swedish heritage. Janice is survived by her loving daughter Susan (husband Jeff Geisler); son Steve (wife Debby) and grandsons Trevor and Randy (wife Kim) and great-grandchildren Joey and Carlee; and son Jim (wife Hilda) and granddaughters Julia and Melina. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Salvation Army.

Dear family and friends of Janice Flood Bliss, i;m sincerly sorry for your loss. It is never easy to lose someone we love; it's only naturalk that we have the desire to live forever on a peaceful and beautiful paradise. We will no longer have to deal with the many stresses of everyday life. At Psalms chapter 37 verse 10, we see that we have that hope and that is drawing near.
