Janice Ebert-Dix Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 8, 2025.
Janice Marie Ebert-Dix passed away on April 26, 2025, in Lorton, Virginia, due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. Born on October 9, 1954, in Roseburg, Oregon, Janice lived a life of adventure, intellect, and resilience.

She earned her bachelor's degree from Oregon State University and Universitat Stuttgart before completing an MBA at the University of Southern California. After her academic pursuits, Janice spent many years living abroad in Stuttgart, Germany, where she mastered the language and culture. In 1984, Janice relocated to Seoul, South Korea, and then later returned to the United States in 1989, settling in the Washington, DC area where she built a family, home, and business.

As a driven entrepreneur, Janice founded a government consulting firm in the 1990s that achieved a coveted "women-owned, small business" status in the early 2000s. Janice led her company until her Alzheimer's diagnosis. Beyond her career, Janice had a deep love of travel that she instilled in her daughter, Little Janice, as the pair shared countless adventures together.

Janice's legacy is one of strength, creativity, and an indomitable spirit that will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her husband, John Dix; daughter, Janice (Ebert) Williamson; son-in-law, Alexander Williamson; brother, Richard Ebert; and sister-in-law, Colleen Ebert. She reunites in peace with her parents, Bernice and Arnold Ebert; sister, Carol Wilson; and beloved pets, Tony, Dixie, Blue Boy, Charlie, and Brownie.

A celebration of life will be held in Oregon later this year. Details will be shared with family and friends. Please keep Janice in your thoughts and prayers as we honor her memory.
