Janice Lindquist Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jun. 24 to Jun. 25, 2012.
Lindquist, Janice N. To our deep sadness and regret, on June 21, 2012 Janice Nell Lindquist passed away suddenly and unexpectedly of natural causes. Jan was born in 1936 in Bellingham, Washington to Harry William and Nell Josephine Randolph Lundblad. Jan is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Gordon Kent Lindquist, her parents, and her brother Conrad Lundblad. Jan is survived by two loving children, Kent Gordon Lindquist and Karla Joanne Lindquist, their spouses, and one grandchild Samuel Kent Lindquist. She is also survived by her sister Lucille Bergstrom, brother Randolph Lundblad, sister-in-law Karen Lundblad, their spouses and loving children. After visitation and burial with immediate family, a memorial service welcome to all will be held at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church Minneapolis Campus, 5025 Knox Ave. S. on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Jan will be missed dearly by many family members, friends, colleagues, and parishioners. Her career as organist included Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in St. Paul, St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Bloomington, and Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church where she served at both Minneapolis and West Campuses. Jan would prefer donations to go to Mount Olivet Lutheran church in lieu of flowers and gifts. Dear family all,
I am deeply sorry to hear of Jan's passing. When she left St.. Stephen to begin at Mount Olivet, I took over for her at St. Stephen. We were Bloomington music friends...

I moved from Bloomington many years ago...but I think of Jan often. She was always so ready to help a friend. She was a gifted musician of great musical integrity.

Now, I remember her in my prayers and pray God's blessings for her family.

In loving memory, Doris Bartunek

Dear Lindquist Family, our thoughts go out to all of you for your loss. Jan was a great person who always had a smile on her face. She was also one of our favorite customers, as she always was in a good mood and would joke with us whenever she came in. She will be missed dearly. Our thoughts go out your family.

Jan played the organ at our wedding in 1996 and I saw her play many services and even funerals. Loved her bright and contagious smile. She will be missed greatly. I love the picture on this obit. Just as I remember her. May the Lord help her children and extended family find some peace.

Love and prayers -
Lundberg Family
