Janice Munch Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 10, 2025.
Fairview - Mrs. Janice Irene "Jan" Munch (Bomboy), age 75, of Fairview, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home with family on April 5, 2025.

Born on October 17, 1949, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Jan was the daughter of Herbert and Betty May Bomboy. She grew up in Millcreek alongside her brothers Gene and Richard Bomboy, who preceded her in death. Her early years were spent breaking and training horses and giving riding lessons to young riders. She was a graduate of the Class of 1967 from McDowell High School.

Jan shared a devoted 43 year marriage with her husband, Richard Munch. Together they built a loving home filled with laughter and generosity. She was a proud mother to two daughters, Crystal Teed and Stacey MacPherson; and son-in-law, Richard (wife, Stacey). Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren-Jacob MacPherson, Nathan MacPherson and Janna May Teed-each of whom brought immense pride and happiness into her life.

Known for her kind heart and boundless willingness to help others, Jan touched many lives with her compassion and spirited nature. Her wit and sense of humor were infectious; she had a gift for making people laugh and feel at ease in her presence. Whether hosting gatherings or simply spending time with loved ones, she found joy in entertaining and bringing people together.

Jan had a creative soul and enjoyed expressing herself through crafts and floral displays. She also took great pleasure in doing fingernails-a small but meaningful way she shared beauty and care with those around her.

A celebration of Jan's life will be held at a later date to honor the love, laughter, and light she brought into the world.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
