Janice Whitney Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 16, 2025.
Janice (Mangini) Whitney, 82, passed away on February 17, 2025, in West Haven, Connecticut.

Born on April 4, 1942, in New Haven, Connecticut, Janice was the daughter of Anthony and Annette Mangini. She grew up alongside her sisters, Gloria Blomberg and Collette Ardito, who preceded her in death.

Janice had a deep love for her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She is survived by her sons Bob and his wife Karen, Tony and his wife Laura, Philip and his wife Beverly, and her daughter Kimberly and Jim. She also leaves behind many loving grand children and nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

Throughout her life, Janice had a strong connection to her church family. Her faith was an important part of who she was, providing her with strength and community. In her younger years, she had a passion for travel and lived in various states across the country, embracing new experiences along the way.

Janice found joy in simple pleasures such as watching television-whether it was crime dramas or sitcoms-and expressing her creativity through crocheting and knitting. She also had a deep appreciation for Native American art, which reflected her admiration for its beauty and cultural significance.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
