Janie Mahan Dimas, 74, passed away September 23, 2018. Janie was born August 21, 1944 in San Antonio to the late Daniel and Simona Rangel Mahan. Janie loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to tend to her many plants and had quiet the green thumb.
Janie is survived by her children, Norma Dimas (Rene) of Brownsville, Jesse Ramirez Jr. (Loretta) of Cuero, Joe Ramirez (Sylvia) of Skidmore, John Ramirez (Norma) of Victoria, Albert Ramirez (Liz) of Victoria; sisters, Jovita Balli of Victoria, Gloria Rios of Victoria, Olga Perez (Joe) of Victoria, Margaret Mahan of Victoria, Rose Moss (Louis) of Dallas; brothers, George Mahan (Yolanda) of Victoria, Lupe Mahan (Mary Ann) of Victoria; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Hector Ramirez and brothers, Danny Mahan, Chon Mahan, David Mahan and Albert Mahan.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM.
Funeral services are Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with burial immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jeremy Ramirez, Isaac Ramirez, John Ramirez Jr., Michael Ramirez, Vanessa Dimas and Jessica Dimas.
