Janie Helen Roark

Knoxville - Janie Helen Underwood Roark, 62, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on December 16, 2025. She was born on July 14, 1963. Janie, known as "Sissy," Momma, and Mammy, passed after a battle with her health. She is now healed and at peace with Jesus, reunited in Heaven with her father and brother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Allen Underwood, and her brother, Thomas "Tommy" Howard Underwood. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Rocky" Roark; her daughter Amanda Roark Kelton and son-in-law Chris Kelton; her son Will Roark and daughter-in-law Mary Beth Roark; her mother and stepfather, Carolyn Wolfe and Darrel Wolfe; her brother Ted Underwood (Darlene); her nephews Allen Underwood (Amanda), Chase Underwood, and Dylan Underwood; her great-nieces Emma and Millie; and her great-nephew Liam. Her greatest joy was loving her family, and nothing made her happier than her grandbabies. Becoming Mammy was the title she loved most. She adored Abigail "Abby" Grace Kelton, Macy Jane Kelton, William "Steele" Roark, and Waylon "Cash" Roark. She is also survived by many other family, friends and her beloved puppy, Rocko. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of East Tennessee or The American Heart Association.
