My sister, Joan Matthews (LR, AR), passed on over 3 years ago. Joan loved Janice and l believe visited her in London. I can see why my sister loved her dear friend. I am so sorry for your loss. Kindest regards and sincerest sympathy to the family.

Janis has always been kind and generous with me. She and Bruce opened their hearts and home to me when my brother Matt married into their family. I, and all my siblings, became extended members of the Smith clan. Janis always amazed me with her athleticism and sense of adventure. She played pickle ball way before it became a national obsession. I think she quit playing when she was over 80! And, hiking in the Colorado Rockies well into her 70's. What really surprised me was she decided to get a cabbie license in London. That is not easy to do. She even drove Colin Powell while working at the US Embassy. Yes, she lead a full life. You had to be careful because she would send you home with a stray pet if given the chance. I'll miss her dearly. Sue
