Lloyd,

We grieve your loss, yet celebrate the love you two shared. As We observed the interplay between you and Janna, We were instructed what it meant to follow Christ together. Carol and I observed and are still benefitting from your example.

Janna's selfless service in the church, in the home and her general demeanor reflected the one who said whoever would lose their life would gain it. We testify to the life of Christ in her.

She is now enjoying the fruit of her life of worship. While your (our) pain persists, she is pain free.

May you and yours find the consolation that the gospel brings for those who trust in the Faithful Redeemer.

Sharing in your loss, trusting for the future,

Dear Brother Lloyd and Family,

We are sorry to hear about your loss. Sister Janna was such a wonderful lady who radiated her love for the Lord.

I remember going to San Francisco to visit your church. Janna welcomed me and my family with open arms. She was always so loving and caring.

Please know that our prayers are with you. May God grant you peace and comfort.

Love,

Sheila, Jay, James, Joni and Jason Stevens

Lloyd,

Dear brother, saying goodby after 47 years must be so difficult. I can only imagine what goes through your mind.

And yet, the reunion that is to come cannot be imagined either!

Mary and I have counted you and Janna as close friends, even when far away. I remember Janna sitting at the organ at our wedding. I remember the graciousness with which Janna always met and entertained us.

How can we forget the trip to Banff with Janna and Mary the only ladies with seven of us crazy men, in a van we could not shut off.

Remember the good times with joy, the difficult with thanksgiving to a loving Savior for walking with you.

We cannot begin to tell of what Janna and you have meant to us.

God bless you in this time.

I remember Janna as a gentle, loving, respectful woman with a warm smile and a twinkle in her eye; a gracious hostess, excellent cook, talented stockingfooted-organist, who was deeply appreciative of her family. She was a wonderful model of a Christian woman for our young family growing up in St. Paul 1970-1986.

Dear Lloyd and family,

We share the feeling of loss that you feel at this time, yet we feel the real joy that Janna is experiencing now with her Lord. Our hearts rejoice with yours for the gift that God shared with you and us. We pray for strength for you as you move through the valley before you with the One who sticks closer than a brother.

We remember: graceful elegance in her walk, the presence of Jesus in her smile, earnest counsel straight from the Holy Spirit, gentle warmth in her hug, great pink jello salads at the church buffets, the mischevious twinkle in her eyes especially with her sisters, she was hopelessly in love with you, Lloyd! A rare and delightful woman, wife and mother.

Dear Lloyd, all of your children, and all of the family that surrounds you. Janna was my dearest cousin. We go back so far...yours and Janna's wedding day started Cal's and my odyssey of love and we were always encouraged, challenged thru our relationship as couples which was never static, always growing in the Lord and His joy whenever we were with you.

Janna's never failing interest and love to our family must have only been a small sample of the many whose lives she touched. She was a very significant other to our daughter Raquel at a lonely time when we were overseas, a prayer partner for our Brian's wife, Paula for many years now, a prayer warrior for the Bee people being adopted by SGT at the same time that she will be buried. May the planting of her body in the grave be the beginning of the growing of the tree of Life among the Bees.

We are praying for deep peace and strength thru this time for you, Lloyd, and for each of your family. We love you.

As Auntie Mary said, "You lived until you died." And now you are dancing on streets of gold!

I'm thanking Jesus that he made you my mother - I have yet to see your equal. You raised us well and prayed for us every day.

I love you Mom!

Dear Lloyd and family,

In the flesh, the loss is great.

It is in the spirit that we can say what an impact Janna had on the lives of those she touched. Mine is a changed life because of her faithfulness and obedience to Jesus Christ. How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news.

Until we all meet again. To God be the glory.
