MEYER, Mrs. Janna (Veltink) 'The Lord is my Shepherd' Thanks be to God for taking home our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother 'Super Oma'. She was born on May 28, 1902 in The Netherlands, she immigrated to Canada in 1952 and resided in Stanley with her family until her move to Pioneer Ridge in 1995. She remained there until her death onMay 3, 2000. Left to mourn are her four sons and two daughters; Henrikje (TheNetherlands); Jan & Jenny(The Netherlands, presently here); Henry and Tina (Stanley); Henk and Roely (Rosslyn); Henny and John (Thunder Bay) Derek and Harriet (Ancaster, en route) and one sister Jantje (The Netherlands). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren here and in the Netherlands. She is predeceased by her first husband, Dirk Brandligt, and her second husband, Hendrik Meyer; a daughter and son-in-law, Femme and Henk Siegers; son-in-law Benne Benjamins and a son Derek. She is also predeceased by three brothers and two sisters (in infancy) as well as two sisters, Mina and Hendrikje all of the Netherlands; and by one great grandson baby James Siergers. Funeral services for Mrs. Janna Meyer will be held on Monday, May 8th, 2000 at 1:30 pm in the First Christian Reformed Church, Arthur Street, with Rev. William Kooienja officiating. Internment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening in the BLAKE FUNERAL CHAPEL from 7-9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Alzheimer Society or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Annual dedication service Sunday June 24, 2001."
