Jared was a very nice guy, who was always fair in business, and as friendly as possible in real life. As I knew him, he had a sense of humor for losing or winning that was always even handed. He was the rare form of individual that you considered a friend, even if much time passed between the times you were in contact with him. Above all, a good fellow. (Which is rare).

Howard & Scott,

I'm very sorry to hear of your dad's death. I have many many memories of Jared going back to 1959 and Times Square Records days. It was a real privilege to get to know him a lot better in the 70s and early 80s...I respect his business acumen, his knowledge, his intense love of R&B group harmony and his many contributions to the record business.

I'm glad I got to know you, Howard, and hope you're doing well. Your dad was a larger-than-life character and a lot of us will never forget him...RIP Jared.
