Jason Aldy Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 30, 2025.
Jason Ezekiel-Lee Aldy, 43, passed away on April 15, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. Born on October 24, 1981, in Kennedale, Texas, Jason lived a life marked by creativity, compassion, and an unwavering love for people and art.

From a young age, Jason was drawn to music. In the 1990s, he began mail-ordering records-an early sign of what would become a lifelong passion. He built an impressive collection over the years and found joy not only in listening but also in creating. Jason made his own music and wrote and performed poetry with heartfelt dedication. Though he may have called it a hobby, those who knew him understood how deeply he cared about his craft.

Jason's love for the arts extended far beyond music. He was an avid supporter of fellow artists and attended hundreds of concerts throughout his life. He immersed himself in books and visual art and cherished nights out filled with laughter and connection. His interests were vast-too many to list-and his curiosity about the world was boundless.

He had a gentle nature that animals seemed to sense instinctively and a sharp wit that could light up any room. His goofy sense of humor brought joy to countless lives. Jason welcomed everyone with open arms; his friends were truly family to him. He took care of those he loved with quiet strength and consistent kindness.

Jason is remembered with deep love by his parents, Shannon and Debbie Aldy; his sister Lauren Aldy-Metoyer; his brother-in-law Geoffrey Metoyer; his Uncle Gary Aldy; Aunt Denise Kilcrease; Aunt Patti Aldy; Aunt Bobbie Gould and Uncle Glenn Gould; Great Aunt Gerean Pollard; as well as many cousins and dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

He carried in his heart the memory of those who passed before him-his Memaw and Papaw Baughn, Memaw and Papaw Aldy-and mourned the loss of many beloved friends along the way.

Jason was truly one of a kind: eccentric, loving, endlessly creative, and deeply human. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled-but his spirit lives on in every song played loud, every poem spoken from the heart, every act of kindness shared without hesitation.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
