Jason and I went to Anoka high school and Concordia College together. We both played saxophone in the Anoka band, but he was much, much better than me! He was a fine leader in the band program.
During our freshman year in college, I started a city soccer team (the Black Sheep) and Jason wholeheartedly agreed to be a member. We took time out of our study schedules to put the Livedalen Hall third floor study room to good use: we laid out garbage bags on the floor and spray painted our team name onto the way too thin white t-shirts. That was the only time us or anyone else used the room!
When the Twins were playing in the World Series, about forty of us packed into one dorm room and cheered on the team together. After the victory in game seven, Jason brought out his boom box and, with a tape of the Twins fight song, led a victory march/celebration down 8th street.
I am very grateful to have had Jason as my friend.

I am so very sorry for your losses Ed. I have fond memories of talking about out families and comparing notes as our children grew up. You are a remarkable father and husband.
