Jason was such a great person to call a friend. Most of our memories were from our high school days. I was new to Spauling High School my freshman year and we discovered that we lived down the street from each other. We had a lot of fun hanging out together, being goofy and laughing without judgment. My grades went to crap my sophomore year, and he inspired me to bring them back up to a respectable GPA. We went on our first big road trip to NY to my mother's house. If we didn't see each other during school and his car was in the driveway, I was always welcome to stop in.
There was this one-time Jason, and I had done a small 3 on 3 basketball tournaments at the high school main gymnasium during the winter on Saturdays. After our game, he had gone to his car ahead of me. when I was on my way out, 3 underclassmen were sour about the game and decided to attempt to jump me. I was able to fend them off and get to the door. As soon as I got out, Jason realized I was in trouble. He started screaming at them and throwing snowball. I unfortunately walked into a sucker punch, but somehow, he managed to get me into his car and home safely. It took a minute to be able to see out that eye, the whole time he was saying "We have to go to the police station and press charges". That was the moment I knew he wasn't just talking about becoming a lawyer, he was seriously going to be a lawyer someday.

We knew Jason through his long friendship with our son Nathan Griffin. He visited our home and was always so pleasant. We enjoyed talking with him. He was a thoughtful and caring person. My husband Al and I are very saddened by his death and send our sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace!

You were a good man Jason and one of a kind. We had so many great memories since preschool. I enjoyed our chats, visits, and random texts over these years since college. You will be missed my friend. My condolences to your sister, father, wife and girls. You were so proud of your family.
