Hey JD
Heard some news today and it brought me right back to this horrible news. I came to read all the messages again today and remember how much we all love you.
I think of you daily - and you visit me in my dreams always when I need you the most. It could be a quick glance with that ever soul touching smile or you stop and actually say a few words, but it's always when I need it the most.
Until we meet again.

I don't know what to say...I still have trouble beleiving that you are not here. Everywhere we went you were there...it got to the point that we knew if we went out you would be there. It was always a good time to see you...I know we will see you again. I cannot bear to tell Tyler you are gone...he will not understand...maybe you can help him through...keep an eye on him. We will always remember you...we will always miss you.
To the entire DeLucco family, my heart goes out to all of you. I wish that there was something that I could say or do...we all love you and I know that with your love for each other you will get through. Love is the glue that holds us together....your family is strong...your love and strength will see you through.

i have thought long and hard about what i might write to you, honestly it feels like i cant get it right. i still cant believe you are gone. i still sit outside and think every white jetta that drives by might be you. i remember our last conversation and i was kinda in a rush so we didnt get to finish it. i am saddened that we will now never get to finish it. jay we had so many laughs and ill never forget you. i just wish i had answered the phone the last time you had called me. i think about you every day and its hard for your name to be mentioned to me without my eyes tearing up. i truly miss you. you were a handsome well dressed and versed charasmatic man and i had the pleasure to say you were "one of my boys". i am sorry i didnt go to any of your memorials, but like i said i would not have been able to keep my composure. i called your cell phone a hundred times till it was turned off just to hear your voice. losing you has made me think before i act. ill always take all my phone calls and never cut a talk short because im in a rush. i miss you and love you and i will always keep your picture up in my room. until we meet again please be safe and watch over the people who love you. "skeet skeet" youll always be in my memories. Daniel Vik

August 25, 2007
My Name is Kailey and my mother used to work with Jason. I knew him and I just wanted to say that he was an incredible guy and he changed my life for the better. The best memory Ill ever have of Jason was when he DJ'd my dance and I was in tears. He just walked over to me asked what was wrong and after I told him about others making fun of me for my handicapp and my choices he just smiled and said "Kailey, If it makes you happy then its worth it all." He crowned me dance queen that night and I will never forget those words. He was an incredible guy and I believe he will live on in all our hearts. I love u Jason.

Dear Lori,
Blair & I were so shocked and saddened to hear about Jay. Though we've never met Jay, reading all these notes makes us think he must have been a very special young man who touched a lot of people. We know how much your boys mean to you and can only imagine how difficult this is for you and your family. May the loving memories you share give you some comfort. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Matt, Patrick and all your family. May God bless you all.

My Dearest Cousin Pat, Lori, Matty, and Pat:
Mere words and condolences cannot express the sadness I feel for you all as you endure the suffering in the loss of Jason.
Pat, when you opened Del's on "this side of the river", not only did our family grow because you shared your wonderful boys with all of us, but our hearts grew as well because of the love that surrounded us everytime we went to Del's and visited with you and our "new" cousins. When showing up for our happy hour(s) on Fridays, it never failed that we were always greeted by the smiling, bright face of Jason, which was always accompanied by a huge, genuine, warm hug, and an "I love you" that could melt all your worries away in a simple instant. Jason loved meeting all his cousins on "this side".
Pat and Lori, I commend you on your loving persistence in instilling family values in all of your boys. They are all a shining tribute to the hard work and cooperation of both of you.
Matty and Pat, our hearts are so heavy that you must endure the loss of your wonderful and forever loving big brother. He loved you so much.
Although way too short, I'm happy for the time that we had Jason in our lives, yet, I'm so sad because there was so much more left to live. I can only hope that Jason is in the embrace of his endlessly adored Grandma "D", and maybe my Mom as well, at this very moment. Although he's not here with us in person, Jason's charismatic, and magnetic spirit will go on in all of us, forever.
My Dearest Cuz: I wish I could take your pain away, but because unfortunately that's not possible, I can only hope to try to lighten the burden by letting you know that I am here for you.
You are all in my constant thoughts and prayers. Love you.
Your cousin Tina, and Bruce, Ben, and Alyssa (DeLucco)Chamberlin

Dear JD~
As I sit here and write this I still cannot believe that you are no longer with us. It hurts to know that I will never again see your bright smiling face and receive one of your gentle hugs. I sit here and think about all the great times we had together. From our camping trips, beach vacations, putting snakes in your mom's garden, and sooo many more. My most recent memory (2006) of you and all of us cousins was sitting in the cadillac all laughing while we changed the channels and changed the seat settings. My favorite memory of you and I will always be us saying our little chant about a certain uncle. [Moe! Moe! He's our uncle! Uncle Moe! :)]
I know that you are in a better place and are looking down on all of us. You are now with Grandpa and Grandma B and your Grandma D. (Tell them I said hi). You are now all of our guardian angels. I will miss you my cousin and will see you someday. Everytime the sun shines I will know it is you smiling down on us.
Love you always,
Kristen :)

Please accept my deepest sympathies. My heart and prayers go out to the family at this difficult time. I met Jason, and his friend Rob, when he came to work at the Norwich DMV one summer to help us out because we were so shorthanded. He was a terrific person, always a smile on his face and joke or a surprise up his sleeve. There was never a dull moment with the two of them that summer, especially listening to their road trip experiences back and forth to Norwich. They were so comical together. He was a terrific and energenic young man and will be very sadly missed. It was a pleasure to have known such a pleasant, hardworking, happy-go-lucky young man. God Bless, sincerely, Kathy Diodato

Jay, You left us to soon, you are a man to be admired and loved...this world would be a far greater place if it were filled with kind and loving people such as yourself...all I can do is remember the times we've spent together...watching howard stern and laughing till tears fell from our eyes...even though the tears fall for different reasons now I will make sure that the world never forgets the "gentle giant" and his ability to bring smiles to the faces of those who knew you...I'll miss you man...just make sure you look out for us down here as I will try to look out for your mother father and brothers...we all love and miss you and can't wait for the day that we'll be watching Stern on the clouds...Love You

Dear DeLucco Family.
I am deeply saddened about the loss of Jason. I cannot say I know how you feel because I don't, But I can say that I care because I do.
It is my hope that this tragedy
and it's effects will soften over time and that you all will stay close to one another.
The only real comforting words I can come up with were spoken by Jesus when He said; " Come unto me
all you are heavily burdened and I will give you rest." Find comfort in knowing that Heaven is paradise
and that Jason has a secure place in it. May his spitit be with us all untill we meet him again.
I'm only a phone call away if there is anything I can do.

I have known Jason since my kids were little (Summerscape) and through the years (riding by the house to go home with his music pounding and waving his hand and that smile). I worked with Jason at Oscars and when I bought a new car he came out to throw change on the floor and told me that is was for good luck.) He always went out of his way to ask how we all were doing. It was with a deep sense of dispair that we heard of your tragic loss. You are in our thoughts and your healing in our hearts. Be peaceful and love fully the days and times and memories you have of Jason. Words cannot heal your pain, I know, but like salve on a wound, it softens the edges and makes living through it more tolerable.

JD:
I cannot believe that you are gone. I sit here and my heart aches. I can remember all the great times we had as cousins. . . . putting snakes (of course it was a rubber snake) in your moms bed to scare her, swimming in the pool at my house, camping up in Vermont- riding the rapids back down to the campsite, boating on the river, ice cream fight at grandmas apartment ( I could go on and on), lots and lots of great times and loads of laughter. So many wonderful memories flood my heart and my soul about you. As I sit and look through pictures of us through the years - there are so many of you and I (in them we were always hugging and laughing). I know now that you are in a better place and are happy. I like to think that you are having fun with Grandma Begush and your Grandma D. I know that they were truly happy (as well as saddened) to see you up there! I will greatly miss your laughter, your smile and you. You are and always will be a part of me and a part of my heart. I know that you are up in heaven and are an angel looking down and watching over all of us that knew and loved you. I will forever miss you my cousin.
Love always and forever, till we meet again!
Your cousin Erin

Mr. DeLucco, Lori, Matthew and Patrick,
When Justin was 3 or 4 years old, he used to call Jay, "big, giant Jay." I guess to a child that small he did seem like a giant, esecially since everyone in my family seemed to stop growing at about 5'3". He was always so wonderful with my kids. Justin loved when he was younger and Jay would put him up on his shoulders. He felt like he could touch the sky. Jay was so gentle and generous. We still have a waterbottle that he gave to Justin from hot93.7fm. I will truly miss seeing him mowing the lawn or running into him when I pick up the kids. He always greeted me with a big smile. Lori, I have always admired the relationship that you have with your boys and I can only hope to be so close with mine. Jay will be missed by so many different people.
Love and healing to your entire family,

My Dearest Pat, Lori, Matt, and Pat Jr. -
Words seem inadequate to express the sadness and sorrow I feel about Jay. I feel blessed knowing that such a beautiful person was a part of my life (Thanks Pat for sharing your boys with me). I will always treasure the time I spent with Jay Thursday evenings at Del's sitting around and talking about life. I will miss his loving sensible ways and most of all I will miss his beautiful smile. My heart goes out to all of you.
