Jason Foster Obituary
Jason died in a tragic car accident outside of Texarkana on March 19. He was born April 30, 1977 in Bay City to Norman and Debbie Foster. Jason was a loving son, husband, father, and friend whose many gifts included kindness, humility, and thoughtfulness. He was a man of God whose life was characterized by personal sacrifice and servanthood. Jason was also big-hearted, a tireless worker, and dependable in all facets of his life. He also loved to travel, with Bend, Oregon being one of his favorite destinations. A recent trip to Big Bend was spent with his wife, Megan, and a close group of friends. People were naturally drawn to Jason who combined a heartwarming personality with a keen sense of humor, while being a team player with unfailing compassion.
Most of all, Jason loved his family. He was the stable "rock" who did not shy away from his responsibility as provider. He loved to surprise his wife with a gift or some other expression of his love and faithfully supported his three children in sports and their other pursuits. His children described their father as a "role model" who exhibited strength in all situations.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Megan Foster; children, Hallie, Lauren, and Hausten; and parents, Norman and Debbie Foster. Other survivors include brothers, Clint Foster (and wife, Carrie) and Kory Foster (and wife, Kaylin); grandmother, Willie Daugherty; sister-in-law, Amy Petrole (and husband, Chris); aunts and uncles, Buddy and Cathy Daugherty, Amber and David Thedford, and Jody and Janey Daugherty; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and loving friends. Jason was deeply impacted by his W.L. Gore family and Vascular Surgery family and cherished his time with each and every one of you.
Pallbearers will be Brent Bumpas, Tim Glidewell, Luke Moore, Justin Chambless, Zach Tonroy, and Kraig Harvey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Taylor, Kory Foster, Clint Foster, Peter Vasil, and Chris Petrole.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jason's honor to the Alzheimer's Alliance of Smith County or a charity of your choice.

Dear Foster Family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of Jason's passing. As his tenant at Fort Knight Storage, I had the pleasure of getting to know him over the past year. He was always so kind, pleasant, and helpful - truly going above and beyond to ensure the wellbeing of his tenants.
Jason's warmth, generosity, and genuine concern for others was truly inspiring. He made a positive impact on everyone he met, and will be greatly missed. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Jason was a wonderful person, and I'm honored to have known him.
My thoughts are with you and your family as you grieve this profound loss. May the wonderful memories you have of Jason provide some comfort in the days ahead.

With most sincere condolences... I have known Jason since his Eli Lilly days. He was as many have said, unwavering, honest, polite, respectful, poised, professional, and a compassionate person about God, family, friends, coworkers, and patients. He loved his family tremendously and several conversations with him, of all types, always left me feeling better. Jason was a master of his craft and a true asset to the medical field. He will be greatly missed!

I worked with Jason at Trinity Mother Frances in vascular surgery. He was a staple in the vascular sector. Intelligence beyond imagination. The doctors relied on him to assist in bringing the patients as close to recovery as possible. It is an absolute punch in the gut to lose such a valuable and lovely individual.

We at the cath lab at Christus GSMC were very saddened for the tragic news.
