Jason Rosebrook

On April 23, 2025, Jason Rodney Rosebrook, 55, passed peacefully at his home in Powell Butte, Oregon surrounded by loved ones and family. Jason fought a brief, fierce, and courageous battle with cancer. After diagnosis, he was adamant that he was in a win-win situation. He could stay here with his family or go to be with his Lord, either way he was winning.

Jason was born in Redmond Oregon March 5, 1970, the 2nd of 3 sons born to Barbara and Dwayne Rosebrook. He was raised in Terrebonne on the family ranch and learned how to ride horses and rope from a young age. Jason played football in high school, graduating from Redmond High in 1988. His love of cowboying lead to being a buckaroo on the ZX ranch in Paisley OR in the 1990's and working for Frank Beard as a PRCA pick-up man at local rodeos.

Jason met his wife Tonya Legg Rosebrook December 17, 2003 at a winter rodeo in Madras Oregon when his large pick-up horse slammed into her smaller barrel horse. They were married on Easter - March 26th 2005. Jason and Tonya welcomed son Orrin in May of 2006 followed by daughter Isabell June of 2012. Jason worked at the Desert Creek ranch east of Brothers Oregon from 2010 - 2014. His horse riding came to a halt when a back injury from an old horse accident became aggravating. So, in true Jason style, he switched from riding horses to riding Harleys. He bought his 1st Harley Davidson in 2019 and enjoyed riding the next 5 years with his motorcycle buddies.

Jason was a devout husband, father, and friend. He loved all things country including horses, dogs, orchard trees, old country music and country living. But most of all, he loved his family time. He will be remembered by his giant personality, his kindness, and the big bear hugs that he gave out freely.

He leaves his wife Tonya, son Orrin and daughter Isabell. He was preceded in death by his parents Barbara and Dwyane, older brother Travis and younger brother Tyler.

A celebration of life is scheduled May 24th 1-4pm at Tom's Pond 3690 SW Williams Rd Powell Butte Oregon. Bring your memories to share and join the family for time of reflection. You are welcome to bring a camping chair. There will be seating, finger foods & desserts .
