JAY MICHAEL PARISI

Jay Michael Parisi, age 48, of Hanover, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. Jay was born on February 23, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Jasper and Linda J (Schaffer Dagdagan) Parisi. He attended Carl Schurz High School in Chicago. Jay worked for many years as a professional painter, and started his own company, Jay's Painting Service, in Hanover. Jay was truly an artist when it came to his painting. He was also very skilled in carpentry. Jay enjoyed playing guitar and drums, going camping, fishing, being outdoors. He liked to ride motorcycles, and caring for his aquariums and his dog. Jay was an outgoing person, he loved telling jokes to make people laugh, and was never afraid to speak his mind. Most of all, family meant everything to Jay. Jay will be sorely missed by his loving mother, Linda J. Parisi of Hanover; his four adult children Ashley, Jay-Jay, Nicky, and Jacob Parisi of Rochelle, Illinois; five grandchildren by his daughters; his sister, Cindy (Vince) Arriaga of Chicago, and their children Gerry Flores, Matheo Rochel, Cathlena Rochel, Mariana, Sarah, and Abigail Arriaga; brothers Jerry Parisi (Linda Todd) of Hanover, and thier children Jason, Amber, and Alaina; Paul Parisi of Sumner, Illinois; Peter (Erin) Parisi of Miles, Iowa, and thier children Anthony, Pierson, and Peterson; an aunt and uncle, Cathy (Jim) Derrig of Trevor, Wisconsin; cousins Dolly and Russell Derrig, cousin Tina (Mike) Rizzo of Richmond, Illinois; uncle Terry Dagdagan of Wisconsin; half-brother John Parisi of Franklin Park, Illinois; special friends Gerardo (Rosy) Flores of Glendale Heights, Illinois and Jesus (Nancy) Rochel of Hampshire, Illinois; and many more cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jay was preceded in death by his father Jasper; stepfather Jose Gomez of Guanajuato, Mexico; brother Anthony Joel Parisi of Hanover; cousin Jim Derrig Jr. of Denver, Colorado.; and half-brother Joseph Parisi of Phoenix, Arizona. Visitation will be held from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 8, 2017 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, 202 Monroe Street, Hanover, Illinois (Jo Daviess County). A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., and burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Hanover. Memorials may be given in Jay's memory.
