Dear Rob and Ann, I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember you as family . Some of my best memories were with you all while growing up, especially the vacations at the cabin in Maine, and our neighborhood parties at the pond. Jay is very close to my heart. Love you all!

My heartfelt condolences to Delaine, Anne and all of the family. I remember Jay as the fun, protective older brother I always wanted. His handsome, easy smile was/is treasured by friends and family. Growing up in the very tight knit Mystic community was an experience we all treasure. I'm sure there are wonderful memories to bring smiles to your hearts and faces in the days ahead. Wishing you peace. Much aloha!

There is hardly a person I've known with greater strength of character and integrity than Mr. Small. When I was a baby, Jay and Ann were the first to change my diaper. (Jay lost a bet with my parents) and I have to this day, a tin cup, given to my parents by Ann and Jay as a gift for me. My children now drink from it. I will forever miss the endless summer nights on your deck.. the conversations and laughter. I'm so glad you got to meet my wife and son. Thank you for everything Jay. I'm truly grateful and blessed to have known you all my life.

My condolences to the Jay Small family. I haven't seen Jay in 50 years, but, still remember him. You always remember the good guys. I worked for him when he was the manager of Mysto Marine. He was a great guy, taught me some about outboard motors. He was one of the Mystic boys. My best to you and enjoy his memories.

I am so sorry to hear this Anne. I was talking about Jay just this morning and we were remembering his strength and wonderful attitude no matter what life threw at him. I've never met anyone quite like him. He was missed at Action Marine when he retired, and I was always happy to hear from him when he would call to check on things. The last time I talked to him he sounded so happy and it was a relief to hear that he was feeling well. You, Rob, and the family are in our thoughts and prayers. He was so proud of you all. With love to you and your family.
