Jay Totten Obituary
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Betty Totten, Jay Darnell and Charles Johnson.
Survivors: father, David Totten, Saltville; mother, Debbie Totten and special friend Gary Burge, Saltville; two sisters, Kristi and Chris Propst, Glade Spring, Va., and Carrie Totten, Saltville; grandmother, Madeline Johnson, Chilhowie, Va.; niece, Harleigh Propst, Glade Spring; stepniece, Ericia Propst; special friend, Megan Campbell; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for Mr. Jay David Totten will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in the D.R. Henderson Funeral Home, with Pastor Bill Edmonds and the Rev. Shirley Carter officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Mount Rose Cemetery.
The D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville is serving the Jay David Totten family.

I was sorry to hear that Jay has gone back to God; eventually you'll remember the things he said and did, and you can smile. Right now it feels like the hole in your heart could swallow the universe. Things are going to be seriously rough for quite some time, and your lives will never be the same...
God goes about His business in ways that astound and grieve me sometimes, but He doesn't make mistakes and he never throws away a good soul. I feel certain that when God calls you home, sunshine and Jay's smile will be the first things you see...
