Jean Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 20, 2016.
With our hearts full of treasured memories we announce the passing of our graceful matriarch Jean Scott Anderson. Born in Rangoon Burma (Myanmar) to Barbara and Alex Dewar on March 7, 1930.
Jean passed peacefully, surrounded by her children on Thurs, Aug 18, 2016. Predeceased by her husband Alexander Smith Anderson (2004). Loving mother of Valerie (Sandy) MacPherson, Glynis (Bill) Steel, Ian Anderson and Karen (Brian) Gernon. Grandmother of Corey, Josh, Sacha, Courtney, Logan, Cale, Kylie and Eric.
Jean is survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jean was a knitter, skilled dressmaker and an artist. Above all she lived her life with quiet dignity. Jean was supportive, humorous, humble and was a wonderful friend to all who knew her.

By Jeans request a private service has taken place at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre, Windsor. In kindness, donations in Jeans memory may be made to the Hospice of Windsor whose entire staff offered Jean and our family a loving, respectful and most peaceful haven for Jeans final days. Thank you Hospice of Windsor for all that you do.

Glynis, Ian & family...my deepest condolences. Jean's humour, smile & that twinkle in her eye during her time at Hospice touched my heart. I'm keeping you in my thoughts & feel blessed to have had the pleasure to spend time with you & your mom....Susan (Hospice kitchen volunteer)

Val - Sad to read of your Mum's passing. I have very fond memories of her being so welcoming and friendly despite my many sleepovers at your house. My condolences to the entire family.

My condolences to all of Jean's family. I only met her a few times when I was traveling with Ian and visited at the family home in Windsor. I remember her as a kind and generous person. Rest in peace.

Thank-you Mrs Anderson for all of the kindness and genuine enthusiasm shown to all of us neighbourhood kids as we grew. So many fond childhood memories include Mrs Anderson and 'Mr Alec'. She always gave with joy, and had such a welcoming way about her. Many childhood memories of her generous spirit, leave me with a smile. A giant of a tiny woman.
