CARBERRY, Dr. Jean Born in Jamaica, West Indies, in 1927, died peacefully in Ottawa, Canada on December 7, 2017. Attended Hampton High School in Jamaica and Medical School in Great Britain. Predeceased by her parents Sir John and Lady Carberry, and her brother Hugh Doston Carberry. Survived by her nephews Martin Carberry (Gay), John Carberry (Jennifer), niece Christine Carberry-Hanson (David), cousins Murray Jackson (Helen) and Ronald Jackson (Elda). As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Dementia Society of Canada would be appreciated. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Dr. Jean's life at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O'Connor) on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 1 p.m. Condolences/Tributes/Donations Hulse, Playfair & McGarry www.hpmcgarry.ca 613-233-1443

My mother has lovely memories of Jean and their friendship and adventures of 84 years. I grew up with her in my life as well and it has been enriched for her companionship. I have missed my "elder" sister these past years but know she is restored and reunited with her loved ones gone before her.
