RAUWERDA, Roelofina (nee Van Hal) October 1, 1918 - June 8, 2011 Our beloved Mother passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters Josie Rauwerda and Gracie Watson, son Mark Rauwerda, and grandchildren Darren and Todd on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Born in Veenendaal, Holland on October 1, 1918, Roelofina immigrated to Canada and settled in Bowness in 1952, where she raised her children and created the foundation of our family. Predeceased by her granddaughter Kelly Watson, and by seven of her brothers and sisters, Roelofina was the constant in all of our lives. Surviving our mother are brother Kees and sister Josina from Holland, and grandchildren Lorie, Kari, Kristian, Jared, Kenny, Luke, Taylor, Katie, Hannah, Chase and daughter-in-law Cathy, all of whom she loved dearly. Mom loved dogs, singing songs, sharing numerous stories and spending time with her family, always with a cup of coffee in her hand.
