Jean Lankford Fountain

Jean Lankford Fountain, 75, of Richmond, departed this life Monday April 23, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elsie Lankford; sister, Audrey Boggs; brother, Dr. Robert Lankford and grandson, Aubrey W. Fountain, IV. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband, Aubrey W. Fountain II; son, Aubrey W. Fountain III, Esq., (Pamela); daughter, Tami Fountain-Ellis, M.D. (James); surrogate son, James Davis; four grandchildren, James II, Miles, Aubri Ellis and James Davis; two sisters, Marguerite Cowans and Paula Cavens M.D. (Chicago); two brothers-in-law, Raymon Cowans and Ronald Johnson; a sisterly relationship with Annie Rowe; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. The family will receive friends from 7 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. where a Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Omega Omega Service will be held at 6 p.m. followed by dedications by Chums, Inc. and Club Dejouir, Inc. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 27 at Providence Park Baptist Church, 468 E. Ladies Mile Road. Reverend Dr. Jerome Ross officiating. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
