I remember growing up with Miss Jean and the family. She always greeting us with a smile and of course we chatted about many things, but especially her dog. It was her love of history that she shared with us, but also with my oldest son that really impacted him the most. Learning from Miss Jean and my Dad about neighborhood history, Baltimore history, etc. led him to pursue his love of history as he grew up. Even now he remembers his chats with Miss Jean as she was gardening as captivating. She brought history to life for him and will always be remembered fondly.

Jean was like a walking "library" of information! Very interesting to talk with! I worked with her at the Baltimore Sun for many years and fondly remember our many talks! I was born and raised in Hampden/Medfield area and could always rely on her for the "lowdown". Good Memories!!!
