I wish to express my sympathy to Jean's family. I was saddened when I saw her picture in the Journal last Friday, and realized that I was reading her obituary. Even though it was nearly 36 years ago that I remember I last saw her, I instantly recognized her, as if she hadn't changed.
We worked together for several months at the Environment Council of Alberta in 1972-73. Several of us were good friends and got along quite well together. It's hard to realize that so much time has passed.
To all of Jean's family, know that Jean was well liked by her workmates while she was at the ECA.

My sincere condolences to Jean's family, she talked fondly of her children and grandson often. Jean loved having her daughter and family close by, plus was thrilled when her son moved back to Canada. She would tell us at work of the great times she had with her sisters visits or of their travels together. I was sadden and shocked when I heard the news, she still had so much life to live. I am glad I had the pleasure to work with her for almost 7 years, at Heritage Sobey's. Jean had a good caring heart, she was very supportive when I lost my dearest friend of 20 years. The first December, after my friends death, Jean commented on how I must be feeling sad, I said yes with Christmas coming and my friend not here to share it with. She said "yes", but also remembered how I would help my friend with her Christmas baking the last 5 years, since her illness. The joy it gave the two of us. I was so touched by this, Jean was the only one who had remembered this piece of info, knowing what it meant to me.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Sincere Condolences to Denise & Maurice & all your Family members,
Remember that life is Eternal!
And that her pain is now final.
She is now in a better place.
Full of joy, contentment & Grace.
She will watch & guide you from above,
And continually send you all her Love.
Now in Heaven where she belongs,
And for All of you to remain strong.
I did not choose to go away...
But God told me I could not stay.
Now dry your eyes..and remember me..
For where I am.. was meant to be.
If a breeze passes across your brow,
Know where it came from & how..
Until we meet again soon one day.
I am not far.. I am just away.
A Loving heart, a giving spirit
Are things that last forever.
Love's never lost, Love never ends
Wherever a beautiful soul has been.
May the good Lord give you strength & his Blessings during this time of sorrows.
