Jean Knight was my violin teacher from 1980 to 1988, and she was a close family friend until we moved to Victoria. I remember she was generous (but hid it with the driest sense of humor), energetic in everything and had a lovely laugh. Thank you for all you had done for me, my sisters and my mum, Jean. I do miss you and love you; you were a terrific teacher and person.

I was lucky enough to have Jean as my violin teacher from 1980 until 1988. My memories of her include a lively sense of humor, boundless energy both on the stage and for coaching, and a matter-of-fact "let's get back to it" attitude after concerts and exams were done. The world won't see another like her for a long, long time. Now to find that bottle, to fill with my tears. Thank you Jean, for the valuable work ethic you helped me build.
