Jean did a lot of things, such as teaching thousands of kindergarten children, but I met her only in the last year of her life. To me Jean was a delicate flower and BOY did she love flowers and plants. I loved seeing her every morning as she walked with her walker from her room to her chair at the dining table. I felt like saying "The Queen has taken her seat. Court can now proceed." I am so glad I met Jean and I will look for her on the other side. She was a fine lady and a great Christian.

My condolences on Jean's passing. I had the wonderful pleasure of helping care for her during my time at The Gardens. She was a light to everyone around her. Jean was a social butterfly who encouraged others around her. I used to call her the fashionista of the home, as she would always sport some sparkly or colorful outfits. She would show me pictures of her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her smile was electric when she spoke of them. Jean was as strong and outspoken as they come, in the best ways. Even in her later days, she wanted to care for everyone around her with grace and love. I have many fond memories of her. Talks we shared while I did her nails, popping on some classic movie in the theatre room and making popcorn together, sharing her delicious baking recipes with me, helping her decide on outfits in the morning, & so much more. She was an inspiration and lived a long beautiful life full of fulfillment while enriching others. I think of her often. May she rest peacefully.
