Jean LOUIE Obituary

LOUIE _ Jean Toy Lan (nee Chun) passed away April 18, 2002. She was born in The Pas, Manitoba and graduated from St. Anthony's Hospital School of Nursing, The Pas, as an RN. She received a gold medal for proficiency at McGill University where she received her P.G.O. degree. She spent many years working at St. Paul's Hospital and George Pearson Centre in Vancouver, B.C. She was an active member of St. Andrew's Wesley United Church, and the Canadian Red Cross. Survived by her children Donna (Chris) Whitehead, Diane Louie, Doug Louie; grandchildren Matthew, Aaron, and Alicia Whitehead, and Brandon and Cameron Louie; two sisters and three brothers; goddaughter Emily Murphy; and many nieces and nephews. She fought pain from arthritis and diabetes complications with remarkable fortitude until a heart attack ended her life. Cremation and interment at St. Andrew's Wesley Cunningham Memorial Garden. A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday, May 18, 2002 4:30 to 6:00pm at St. Andrew's Wesley United Church, 1012 Nelson Street, Vancouver, B.C.
