Jean Haden McCormick

Hi Suzanne. So sorry this message is a little late. I am so sad to hear of the loss of this amazing lady and your Dear Mother. Soon after Jean McCormick started the Beaches Historical Society in 1978, I invited her to my home in Neptune Beach to provide a talk on the history of our beaches and information about joining the society.
I invited ladies from my church and friends and neighbors. I still remember how beautiful she looked in her deep royal purple suit with a flower on her lapel and her beautiful white head of hair. So elegant! And she spoke so eloquently! I was so proud to have her in my home. She has touched so many lives and hearts and will be greatly missed by all whom she has touched throughout her long

When we first came to Ponte Vedra Beach back in 1979, Jean and J.T. welcomed us to this wonderful community and became lifelong friends. J.T. cooked venison for us and Jean told us wonderful stories of her life at Jacksonville Beach. They were a charming, devoted couple and a joy to be around.
We send Suzanne, Patricia, Haden, Wade and Reid our affection and deepest sympathy and wish for comfort for them and their families.

Jean was a truly special person to have known. I had the additional honor to have been invited to join her Study Club. We had many fun and informative get togethers for a number of years. She was such a lady and beautiful both inside and out. She will be missed by her many friends and family. We must all treasure the memories!

It was such an honor to know Jean McCormick and assist in her care over these last few years. I will miss her, especially that beautiful smile & the little wink she always gave us!
