Jere and Sue Via (Lawrenceville, GA) send their love and sympathy to all the Smalley Family--who have together enriched our lives. Fran Weeks called us to let us know. Jean was a dear loved one of this family

Ms. Smalley was one of my favorite teachers at Douglas County High School. She cared for her students. I was a member of a church that wasn't part of the mainstream churches at the time. She never made me feel different and helped me to look analytically at the belief system of which I was a part and to come to terms with my faith. Because of the class she taught I became involved first with childcare and then went on to do theraputic work in a mental hospital setting. More important, I recall how often she spoke of her family and the love and pride she had for each of them. Blessings to the family of such a special lady.

With deepest sympathy to the Smalley family during your time of grief...Psalm 46:1...God is for us a refuge and strength, A help that is readily to be found during difficult times...May God provide you with peace and comfort to endure the days ahead.

My prayers and sincere condolences to the family. Ms. Smalley always brought a ray of sunshine to the halls of Newton County. Although I never had her for a class, she was involved enough with my other teachers and activities (Home Economics and FHA), that I considered her as one of my teachers--in life! Her eyes always twinkled and she was such a sweet and loving person. I will always carry those wonderful memories with me.
When you are missing her physical presence, allow all of your wonderful memories to comfort you.
