Lucian Walter Tercyak Jr., born on November 14, 1946 in New Britain, CT died August 20, 2023 in Boston, MA at the age of 76. He was the son of Lucian Walter Tercyak Sr. and Josephine (DiPietro) Tercyak-Bass-Davidson.

He attended New Britain Public Schools and graduated from New Britain High School in 1964. He pursued education at the University of Hartford, the University of Connecticut at Hartford and Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown, Boston. After high school he called various places home, including Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC. Lucian settled in Boston, MA in 1978, residing in various neighborhoods including Beacon Hill, Austin, Jamaica Plain and South Boston. He later found his place in North Dorchester's Savin Hill section, specifically Saint William's Parish in 1990.

An accomplished violinist and viola player, Lucian studied and played at Hartt College of Music of the University of Hartford, also playing with the Hartford String Orchestra, Bristol (CT) Symphony, Little Orchestra of Cambridge (MA), the Cambridge String Quintet and the Boston Civic Symphony.

Lucian retired from a successful 30-year career at Accurate Fasteners, Inc., South Boston, MA in 2011. He played a crucial roll in providing fastener components to esteemed entities such as NASA, Martin Marietta, Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, Saab-Scandia AB and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. His work also extended to international markets serving companies in Europe, Africa and China. He served his community as a City of Boston voter registrar, contributing to the democratic process.

Surviving Lucian are his partner and friend, Pablo Gonzalez of Dorchester, MA, a sister, Linda (Tercyak) Scorzato-Sheffield (Dale) of New Hartford, CT, a brother, Michael Tercyak (Anna) of Lexington, SC, dear friend, Helen (Pawluk) Deavers and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother and father, an infant sister, Linda Mae Tercyak, a brother, Anthony (Tony) Tercyak, a cherished Aunt, Hedwig (Auntie Hedy) Tercyak, and a dear friend, Frank Liistro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church; 158 Broad St., New Britain, CT. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St, New Britain, CT.
