Jean Williams

Jean Schoell Williams, 95, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at St. Catherine's Village in Madison. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 10, 2009, at 11 am in Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Blvd. She will be buried beside her husband, John Perry "Jay" Williams who died in 1966.
Mrs. Williams was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed her Sunday School class, circles and the quilters group who made quilts for donation to the French Camp's yearly auctions. During her early years of widowhood, she worked the information desk at the MS. Baptist Hospital. Upon her retirement, she resumed her interest in many civic and social activities.
The family would like to thank First Presbyterian Church and the entire staff at St. Catherine's Village for their love and care during her last years.
She is survived by her son, Perry Williams and his wife, Cynthia of Madison; daughter Frances Laird and her husband, Ted of Oxford; grandchildren, Ian Williams, Carley W. Ostrander, E.E. Laird, III, Steven W. Laird, and Jean Laird Sunn; and great grandchildren, Jordan and Alex Laird, Mary Charles and Chappell Laird, Mac, Mary Laird, Fran, and John Moss Sunn.
