Jeanine Desmonde (Huson) Saunders, 89, a resident of Swanzey, passed away peacefully and quietly on Monday, September 29, 2025, with the love of family by her side at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon.

She was born to the late Alice Ford (Page) and Edwin Lewis Huson on February 13, 1936, in Boston, MA. She was educated locally and graduated from Beverly High School and Salem School of Nursing.

On December 2, 1962, Jeanine exchanged vows with the love of her life, Kenneth Earl Saunders Jr. They had a simple ceremony with family and friends. They were happily married until Ken passed away on June 4, 2005.

Jeanine enjoyed her time working as a registered nurse and raising her children in the small town of Temple, NH. She especially loved to garden, and later on in life, building and decorating her elaborate doll house.

Jeanine is survived by her children, Kenneth E. Saunders, III and his wife, Jacqueline of Riverview, FL., and Laurie J. Whipple and her husband, Frank of Richmond, NH. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher, Lindsey, Rylee, and Kenneth, along with her 7 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Kenneth E. Saunders Jr., and her brother Bayard D. Huson.

A burial will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Central Cemetery, 60 Hale St. Beverly, MA. 01915. In lieu of flowers, family has requested that all donations be made to the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care, 154 Hitchcock Loop Rd. Lebanon, NH. 03756. All services are under the care of Cheshire Family Funeral Home, Chapel, and Crematories. www.cheshirefamilyfh.com.
