Jeanne M. Broda

TRUMBULL — Jeanne M. (Lucille) Broda, age 75 of Pierpont, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Sept. 15, 1933, the daughter of Stephen and Mary (Zukovic) Broda.Jeanne was a 1951 graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Cleveland, a graduate of Case Western Reserve University and Edinboro State University with a bachelors and masters degree (respectively) in education. She was a special education teacher for many years in several school districts and continued individual tutoring of children with special needs well after retirement until two yeas ago.Survivors include a brother, Bernard J. Broda of Sagamore Hills; a sister-in-law, Ingeborg Broda of Jefferson; and five nephews, Dr. Lawrence S. Broda of Falmouth, Maine, Brian B. Broda of Sagamore Hills, Curtis Paul N. Broda of Fowler, Martin P. Broda of Wooster and CDR. Peter M. Broda , USCG of Cape May Landing, N.J; also survived by her long standing friend, Vic Thomas of Pierpont; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Stephen; a sister, Rose; and a nephew, Stephen.A private (family only) Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 15th, at St. Andrews Church, in Sheffield, with a burial to follow.
