JEANNE LOUISE BROTHERTON Jeanne Louise Brotherton, age 84 of Given, WV, passed away Friday, March 13, 2009 at CAMC Memorial Division. She was born March 5, 1925 in Somerville, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Louise Adams Gaffney. Jeanne was a Red Cross volunteer during World War II. She was a Business Administrator for the Dennison Manufacturing Company in Massachusetts. She became a farmer with her husband in Given, West Virginia in 1967. Jeanne was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Russell Brotherton, Sr.; a daughter, Barbara Boothe; and a brother, William H. Gaffney. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Russell “Rusty� Brotherton Jr.; two granddaughters, Barbara “Susie� Freeman and husband Bill of Chesapeake, VA; and Lori Fisher and husband Austin of Given, WV; one grandson, Travis Brotherton and wife Michele of Ripley, WV; and three great-grandchildren, Anna Louise and William Freeman of Chesapeake, VA; and Tatum Brotherton of Ripley, WV. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, March 16, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, WV with The Rev. Michael T. Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jeanne’s name to the Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.blueridgefuneralhome.com. Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
