JEANNE A. (CAMPBELL) CLELAND, 82 CAPRON - Jeanne A. (Campbell) Cleland, 82, of Capron died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in her home, of natural causes. Born Aug. 24, 1930, in Belle-fontaine, Ohio; daughter of Fred and Martha (Abbott) Campbell. Married Alfred Cleland on Nov. 13, 1947, in Bellefontaine. Jeanne was a resident of Boone County for 60 years. She was a homemaker in Ohio and then on the Intercreeken Farms in rural Capron. She worked as an assistant cook for North Boone School district for many years and as a dental assistant. Member of Capron United Methodist Church and active with the United Methodist Women. Belonged to the Boone County Farm Bureau and was the treasurer for County Line Cemetery Association for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and eating out with a special group of friends. Survivors include sons, Tom (JoAnn) of Roscoe, Jim (Vicky) of Clinton, Wis., and Bob (Becky) of Rubicon, Wis.; daughters, Kathy (Dave) Kistler of Algonquin and Linda (Don) Swanson of Rockton; grandchildren, Craig, Dan (Allison), Jason (Andrea), Colin, Nolan and Natalie Cleland, Debby and Jeff Kistler, Kyle and Kurt Swanson; great-grandchildren, Rilynne, Aislynne, and Emma Cleland; sister, Virginia (Doyle) Grassmeyer of Schertz, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Alfy; son, Fred; and twin daughters in infancy, Karen and Kristine. Thank you to Mom's special friends and neighbors who helped our family watch over her. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, in Capron United Methodist Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. to time of service; the Rev. Susanne Wilczek will officiate.
