We just heard the news. We are so sad. Jeanne is one of the sweetest and kindest people I know. Our family cherish the friendship your family gave us the 8 years we lived in the Stratford East Ward. Thank you, Shane, for your help when I bought my house. Cherish your 44 years with Jeanne and the knowledge that the gospel is true. May the Lord bring peace to your heart.

Dear Mather family,

We were so saddened and shocked to hear of the passing of dear Jeanne. She was such a sweet, unassuming lady with a heart of faith and love. I loved serving with her in primary when she was primary president. Our family benefitted from Shane as our Bishop in the Stratford East Ward and Jeanne quietly supported him while he was carrying out his priesthood duties. She was a great example as a missionary at the hospital. My son Hayden and daughter in law appreciated her great faith and testimony of the Gospel while they served together.

I hope in the coming days you will be comforted in the knowledge that Jeanne loved her family above all else and her goodness lives with in each of you!

I wish I could be there to give you all a big hug, but my sister will have to suffice... :) I consider myself extremely blessed to have had you all as neighbors and friends growing up! I will never forget running through the sprinklers in the summer or the massive pumpkins from your garden in the fall! I hope you all find solace in knowing that you will one day be reunited with her.
