Jeanne Elisabeth SMITH

Jeanne Elisabeth Smith, 57, of Roanoke, and formerly of Rustburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Born on March 22, 1956, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Wiley C. Smith Jr. and Betti Böhm Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Erich Kulhmey.
Jeanne was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with family and especially her grandson, Jacob. She was of the Baptist faith.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Elisabeth Marie Wood and Anna Rachel Wood, of Roanoke; a grandson, Jacob Wiley Wood; two siblings, Barbara J. Spiggle (Ronnie), of Rustburg, and Richard Wiley Smith (Melissa), of Walkertown, N.C.; three nephews, Patrick, Erich and Jeff; four nieces, Sherri, Isabelle, Victoria and Gracelyn; and other relatives and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Sandy and Curtis Ferguson for their loving care and support.
A Celebration of Jeanne's Life and Faith will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, 427 Graves Mill Road, Lynchburg, Va., by the Rev. Dr. Tom Bryant. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Cumbie Cemetery.
